Prior to starting his own moving company, Jerald
Duncan worked at his parents moving business. It was there that Jerald acquired the experience and education needed to run his own
company. In 1959, present co-owner Jerald Duncan founded A-1
Moving & Storage Co. In 1961, A-1 Moving & Storage Co. became an agent for the very prominent moving system,
Allied Van Lines. |

In 1981 and 1985, sons Mike and Troy joined their
father in the business, creating a ‘third generation’ to this still family
owned moving and storage company. Collectively, Jerald, Mike and
Troy provide over 84 years of combined moving and storage business
experience.
Since 1959 in its first year of operation to the present day, A-1 Moving & Storage, Inc.
has shown significant growth and now boasts one of the largest run moving
and storage systems in south central Missouri. Employing 35 people
and storing an estimated 1.2 million pounds of furniture during its
peak in 2002 illustrates the aggressiveness with which this family-owned and operated
business continues to function under.
Through its strong principal belief and generational knowledge, A-1
Moving & Storage, Inc. will continue to work diligently to secure its
future by practicing the basic business fundamental that "the
customer always comes first."
